Forthright is seeking an Arbitration Relations Counsel to lead the development, support, and oversight of our panel of independent attorney-arbitrators serving New Jersey's No-Fault PIP Arbitration Program.

What You'll Do
As Arbitration Relations Counsel, you'll play a key leadership role in recruiting, developing, and supporting one of New Jersey's premier arbitration panels.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, onboard, mentor, and develop Forthright's panel of attorney-arbitrators.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager and trusted liaison between Forthright and its Dispute Resolution Professional (DRP) panel.
- Review arbitration awards, appellate decisions, and procedural orders to promote consistency, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and present CLE-accredited training programs and educational initiatives for attorney-arbitrators.
- Evaluate DRP performance using objective metrics, quality reviews, and professional feedback while providing coaching and guidance.
- Investigate and resolve arbitrator, attorney, insurer, and user concerns in a fair, professional, and timely manner.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify operational improvements, enhance program performance, and support strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with New Jersey statutes, regulations, arbitration rules, and Forthright policies while maintaining the integrity of the arbitration process.
Qualifications
Required
- Juris Doctor (J.D.)
- Active admission to the New Jersey Bar
- Seven or more years of legal experience
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
- Experience in arbitration, mediation, or alternative dispute resolution
- Knowledge of New Jersey PIP law
- Experience mentoring, training, or managing attorneys
- Experience using legal technology or case management systems

Hybrid Work Schedule
During your onboarding and training period, you'll work in our Somerset office approximately four days per week (flexibility can be discussed based on experience). After training, the position transitions to a hybrid schedule of two days per week in the office and three days working remotely.
